Pygmy Marmosets use their sharp teeth to create holes in the trees to find gums, sap, and molasses. These are their favorite things to eat. These foods contain most of their daily protein, carbs, and calcium. Pygmy Marmosets also eat vegetation from the trees that they live in such as fruits, flowers, and nectar from the flowers. Their favorite insects to eat are grasshoppers and butterflies that get stuck on the sap and molasses which comes out of the trees. In the wild, small reptiles such as lizards are also on the menu.
