Threats
Threats of the Pygmy Marmoset include Pythons, Boa Constrictors, and Harpy Eagles. Their small size may allow them to hide, but it also makes them extremely vulnerable. Another threat they can't protect themselves against is habitat destruction. We humans cut down the trees in which they live, which leaves the Pygmy Marmosets without homes. Without these trees, the Pygmy Marmosets are at a risk of death due to the many predators that roam the forest floor. Luckily, Pygmy Marmosests can easily adapt to their environment. Also, people try to keep Pygmy Marmosets as pets. They think that taking care of a Pygmy Marmoset seems easy. When they have one, they realize that they need to be monitored at all times, thus leaving them abandoned.
